The Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Alumni Association was officially instituted in 2024, representing a historic turning point in the timeline of the prestigious institution located in Zamfara State, Nigeria.
For decades after the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, graduates scattered across Nigeria, Africa, and the globe without a unified institutional body to coordinate their activities, advocate for their alma mater, and foster professional partnerships.
This critical gap was recognized by the visionary leadership of the Polytechnic, led by the Rector, Dr. Yahaya Bande, who championed the call for an organized, democratic, and progressive alumni body. The initiative gained immediate nationwide enthusiasm from alumni spanning graduation classes from the 1980s to the 2020s.
Distinguished alumnus Comrade Abdulrazak Bello Kaura was elected as the Pioneer National President, charged with creating a cohesive structure, establishing state chapters, inaugurating the secretariat, and deploying modern digital tools to verify and connect all FEDPONAM alumni worldwide.
From its foundational convention, the association anchored its mandate on three unbreakable pillars: Unity, Progress, and Excellence. Today, the association continues to build sustainable scholarship schemes for underprivileged students, organize reunions, facilitate employment opportunities for young graduates, and advise the polytechnic management on curriculum relevance.
